In 2021, Eddy returned to higher education to enhance his ability to serve as a change agent in his community. He is currently pursuing a master\u2019s degree in Community Development and Planning. With over a decade of professional experience and personal insights, Eddy has dedicated his career to addressing critical societal issues, particularly gang violence among youth. In 2019, he earned the title of National Gang Specialist from the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCR) in Chicago, Illinois. While at NGCR, Eddy focused on tracks including; Gang Counseling for K-12 Schools, Management Skills for Gang Members in Probation and Parole; he also received the Spirit Award for his significant contributions to combating gang violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eddy has supported at-risk and proven-risk youth at Worcester East Middle School and North High School in Worcester, MA, through the Comprehensive Anti-Gang Strategies (CAGS) at Friendly House Neighborhood Center. He also assisted proven-risk young-adults involved in gang-crime through the Safe & Successful Youth Initiative (SSYI) program at both Friendly House Neighborhood Center and the Worcester Youth Center. Eddy has numerous success stories working with youth, ranging from securing sub\/unsubsidized housing for youth and finding long-term employment to promoting rehabilitation for addiction and serving as a liaison in criminal courts for youthful and adult offenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Eddy, along with his peers, Enmanuel Feliz and Darrell Rose, launched a new organization named WooSource<\/a><\/em>. WooSource<\/em>\u2014 a play on words meaning “Worcester Resource”\u2014 focuses on providing services to men and their children. These services include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and nurturing fatherhood groups. Eddy and his partners have faced personal challenges and triumphs in affirming the value of fatherhood. Soon, WooSource will open a family center where fathers can access space for visitation with their children, whether through court orders or their own accord, and a space that provides case management. Eddy is also founder of\u00a0Worcester Impact<\/em>, Inc. Launched in 2025, the organization supports youth and fathers through mentorship, economic stability supports, and clinical partnerships, designed to strengthen caregiving capacity and overall family stability. Together, these organizations work toward affirming the value of fatherhood and building a stronger community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eddy has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to community education, youth empowerment, family-centered practice, and systems-level change. In 2019, he contributed to the development of comprehensive and impactful sessions designed to empower fathers through the Family Resource Center\u2019s Nurturing Fathers Program facilitator training in Roxbury, Massachusetts. In 2021, Eddy served as a speaker at the Hope Coalition\u2019s Youth Workers Training Institute graduation in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he addressed disparities in youth work impacting the LGBTQIA+ community and shared his commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and meaningful change. In late 2024, he joined the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center as a Board Director, supporting a resident empowerment center focused on the Pleasant\/Piedmont area of Worcester, with a commitment to grant writing, youth service expansion, program development, and long-term organizational sustainability. In early 2025, Eddy also joined Worcester Interfaith as a Community Organizer and Social Justice Fellow, applying interfaith principles to advance justice, strengthen community power, and build solidarity across racial, economic, and cultural lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
