Bio:

Nicole Turetsky is a graduating Community, Youth, Education Studies major and a Creative Writing minor. She comes from a small, predominantly Jewish town in Long Island, New York. She has always had a passion for reading and writing, which is where her interest in critical literacy draws from. During her time spent with the CYES department, her focus has been on learning more about early childhood literacy, critical literacy theory, media literacy education, and the role of questioning within the classroom. Nicole is currently enrolled in the MAT program at Clark and after receiving her Masters, she intends to pursue a specialization in literacy skills. In her free time, she enjoys reading (and writing!) contemporary romance, hanging out with her roommate’s cat and having movie nights with her friends.
