Kelly O’Brien is a 2022 graduate of Clark’s CYES cohort, majoring in CYES and minoring in history. Kelly has always loved working with youth and her first job when she was 16 was working at an inflatable bounce house park where she worked birthday parties. Kelly also worked at her local YMCA’s after-school program and summer camp for three years. In college, Kelly began serving with AmeriCorps through Jumpstart, which inspired her praxis project. She also participated in the Clark programs the Clark Claremont College Connection and Adam Achievers. All of these experiences made her realize that she wanted to work with youth as a career. Kelly will be continuing her education at Clark through the accelerated degree program where she will be getting her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2023.
